Sgt. Jay Ball
Police Sergeant, Law Enforcement Consultant & Trainer
Sgt. Jay Ball brings more than two decades of law enforcement experience, including patrol, investigations, school-based policing, crisis response, and community-based work. He currently serves with the Framingham Police Department’s Community Impact Unit.
An experienced instructor, Jay provides training on mental health, crisis response, investigative practices, and related law enforcement topics. He also brings extensive experience working across law enforcement, behavioral health, veterans services, and community systems.
Officer Artie DePinho
Police Officer, Law Enforcement Consultant & Trainer
Officer Artie DePinho brings frontline experience in crisis response, behavioral health, substance use, homelessness, and community outreach. A Boston police officer since 2015, he has served in the department’s Street Outreach Unit, working directly with individuals with complex behavioral health and social-service needs.
Through Boston’s Co-Response work, Artie has also helped train clinicians joining police-clinician teams. He brings a practical, street-level perspective to ASJ training and consultation, particularly around crisis intervention, outreach, diversion, and effective collaboration between law enforcement and behavioral health professionals.
Bonnie Cuccaro
Clinician, Consultant & Trainer
Bonnie Cuccaro brings more than two decades of clinical experience, including extensive leadership in Co-Response. She began her Co-Response work with the Framingham Police Department and later served as Director of Jail Diversion Programs at Advocates, overseeing multiple police-clinician partnerships and leading Co-Response training and technical assistance.
Bonnie currently serves as the Associate Director of the Center for Crisis Response and Behavioral Health at William James College and as the Director of the Framingham Police Co-Response Program. She brings deep expertise in clinical practice, program leadership, clinician development, and the day-to-day realities of effective police-clinician partnerships.
